As many schools across the country face massive budget cuts, one constant remains the same – athletic programs are usually the first to get hit. Athletic departments face the daily chore of restoring outdated scoreboards and the like because there isn’t the budget to buy new ones. In addition, the lack of funds force coaches to initiate “pay-to-play” policies or drop certain sports altogether.
